If you’ve been to live NFL games, the chances are relatively high that you’ve attended a tailgate or two in your day. However, it’s far less likely that you’ve ever attended a tailgate quite as extravagant as the 16F/D2 Tailgate in the Meadowlands during Giants home games.
I spoke with Joel Somerstein for insight into the history of the 16F Tailgate, how they make the menu, what happens on a weekly basis, and how four friends with a grill turned their section of a parking lot into a buffet for hungry New York Football Giants fans.
